Reason why Father Jordán Peñaherrera took the steps to install a radio, which would be the means of communication for the development of apostolic activities and Marian evangelization.It began with the name of the "Voice of the Sanctuary", a name that preserves it with a long history until 1967, with the characteristic of religious and cultural, the dissemination of an informative program called "Meet Baths" should be highlighted.In the year of 1968, the name of “La Voz del Agoyan” takes the name of the prior of that time, Father Ángel Cobo Folleco gave the necessary impulse so that the radio reaches a better coverage, 2 frequencies work, AM in the 955kc, and in SW at 3,200 MHZ.In the year 1975, Father Agustín león was concerned with continuing to spread the Marian message and managed to retake its initial name "Radio La Voz del Santuario", under the direction of the Dominican Community but restricted in its daily broadcast schedule.In 1977, Father Luis Ramírez, as Prior of the Community, considered renting the station to a private person, since the costs for its maintenance are high, it is established for commercial purposes with the commitment to spread the main religious acts, this lease is terminated on June 31, 1992.In 2011 it was called ¨Radio Sanctuary System¨ with its FM frequency, until today it takes its initial name and we have a radio ¨La Voz del Santuario¨.
